Smoke Dining Armchair was designed by Maarten Baas for Moooi in 2002. The chair is basically a classic design with an artistic twist. Smoke Dining Armchair is made of wood and features detailed carved patterns and a black leather upholstered seat. To create the unique feel, the chair has been burned until it is almost completely charred and then treated with epoxy resin to preserve the natural feel and give the material a long life. The beauty and character of brown wood is now captured in durable design furniture.
The mysterious and elegant Smoke range includes a lamp, TV chairs and a chandelier, each product is unique and may differ due to the process used in production. Smoke is also available as a dining chair and lounge chair.
