003 Stilts Side Table is a side table designed by Canadian designer Philippe Malouin for the Finnish brand Vaarnii. The shape of the side table is inspired by the vernacular architecture of cottages by the lake in both Quebec, where the designer Philippe Malouin comes from, and in Finland. In these buildings, the focus has shifted from the intricate to something more intuitive and simple. Therefore, both the side table is simple and effective. The side table has a drawer for extra storage that is supported and enclosed by the remaining parts of the table in a way rooted in reality.
